Day 2 - The Glove

When you have a Wii all to yourself, you play it every chance you get, even before breakfast.
Baseballs for $1? Yes, it's the dollar store.
The sole purpose for today was to get Carsen's new glove. When compared to his old one it's a lot bigger.

Papa's Train Room is one of my favorite spots. I'm old enough to go out and run the trains all on my own.We were able to catch pretty well even before we began the break-in process.
... and throwing has never been a problem.
Carsen's second cousin Amanda came over today and challenged Carsen to a Wii game of Mario Kart. Amanda bet Carsen an ice cream sundae that she could beat him. There was plenty of trash talking - from both of them during the games. Carsen pulled out the victory at the last second. After several fist pumps there was a sportsman like hug.Changing engines the first few times requires a little help. I'm sure after another week of instruction he'll be able to do it on his own.
Oiled and wrapped, the glove starts the break in process. A few more nights of this plus catching EVERY day should have this glove ready for a trip back to Texas. More Wii. (Just a cute picture I had to post.)
When you are the only kid at an adult 50th birthday party boredom is an issue.
... unless of course we bring our Leapster.

The PNW has not really had summer yet this year. Even at 80 degrees Carsen got a little chilly. Our friend Molly gave him her OSU sweatshirt which fit him pretty well. (and then we got goofy.)

Excellent does not do justice to how Carsen behaved tonight. Please and No Thank You were heard often. Tired was setting in though. The minute the birthday cake came out we got our second wind. Here he is explaining the 12 to 6 curveball to Michael - no kidding.
